The Early Childhood Program at Rohan Woods

We have had a great week in the EC room!  We have been talking about ourselves, what makes us different and unique.  We read I Like Myself!  All the children enjoyed looking at the pictures of how the little girl would like herself; one example is that sheíd like herself with purple, polka-dotted lips.  We talked about how we would like ourselves no matter what.

We are also having lots of fun with our second and third grade buddies.  The second and third graders come into the room and read to us while everyone eats snack and then the EC students pick an activity to do in the room with their second or third grade buddy.

We've had a lot of fun in music and Spanish.  We sang a color song in Spanish and got to hold up color cards.  In music we got to try Mr. D's guitar.  They were able to strum the strings on the guitar.
Next week starts our color theme.  We have many fun color activities planned and are looking forward to all of the activities.

Some dates to remember are:
September 6-no school
September 11 &12-St Louis Art Fair
