Financial Assistance

Rohan Woods School is committed to building a community of outstanding students and families. We are aware, however, that increasing costs associated with independent education may present hurdles for some families whom we would welcome to our school. To ensure that academically qualified students have access to the exceptional RWS educational experience, we offer a limited need-based financial aid program. Additionally, we offer a Ten-Month Tuition Payment Plan that begins each April.

We are mindful that a Rohan Woods education is an investment in your child’s future. And, as we all know, everything worthwhile requires some degree of sacrifice. While we feel privileged to provide financial assistance to those who qualify, families should be prepared to fully explore all financial avenues to meet as much of the tuition burden as possible.   Rohan Woods School bases its financial aid awards on the guidelines suggested by the Student and School Services for Financial Aid (SSS) as well as factors such as family income, employment status and the number of dependents in tuition-charging institutions. Once an applicant's academic qualifications are established, awards are made on a funds-available, first-come, first-served basis.

The financial aid application process includes:

Parent Financial Statement (PFS): A PFS must be submitted to SSS on-line at sss.nais.org. Returning families must apply no later than January 15th. Prospective families should file as early as possible keeping in mind that funds are first allocated to current families.

IRS Form 1040: Submit a copy of one or both of the two prior year's IRS form 1040 and all accompanying schedules to the Rohan Woods School office by January 15th.   Each parent and/or stepparent must complete all requested information to be eligible for financial aid consideration. Each family, current and prospective, must apply for financial aid on a yearly basis. The awards process is completed upon the allocation of all available funds.
