Anne has been teaching foreign language at Rohan Woods School since 2005, first teaching both Spanish and French, and today concentrating purely on French. With nearly five years of teaching experience, Anne excels at immersing her students not only in the French language but also the cultures who use it. In her spare time, Anne loves to travel. She holds a Masters in Business Administration.

Shelly Barnett, Pre Kindergarten Teacher
Shelly Barnett has been educating children from ages three to first grade for 13 years. She is uniquely talented at learning the abilites of each child and meeting their needs accordingly. She enjoys music, art, gardening, and cooking. She uses all of these in her classroom and shares her passions with the children. Shelly has a Bachelors of Science degree from Missouri State University and has certificates in Orton Gillingham and Phonographix reading programs. She has an emphasis in Language Arts and teaching beginning reading skills. Shelly believes that children are naturally filled with wonder and curiosity and it is her priviledge to take part in their every day lives.

Macci Bowers, Sixth Grade Teacher
Macci Bowers joined the Rohan Woods team in 1982. With more than 30 years of teaching experience, Macci brings an abundance of enthusiasm and personalized teaching methods to her classroom, especially in the areas of literature, language arts, and mathematics. In her spare time, Macci enjoys outdoor activities such as gardening and running as well as reading and needlework. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Maryville University as well as a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree in Elementary Education from Webster University and an Educational Testing Certification from Washington University.

Kim Breckenridge, Science Specialist Grades 1-6
Kim Breckenridge began her career at Rohan Woods School in 2010. With over seven years of teaching experience, something that Kim loves about teaching is the look that crosses over a student's face in the moment when they finally understand a difficult concept. For Kim, these moments inspire her to continue to find fun, hands-on ways for students to learn. In her spare time, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and dogs, as well as running, reading and gardening! Kim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Indiana University and a Masters degree in elementary education from Indiana University.

Stacey Broll, Fourth & Fifth Grade Teacher
Stacey Broll joined Rohan Woods in 2008 as the Fifth Grade teacher. With more than 11 years as an educator, Stacey excels at instilling a love of mathematics and technology with her students as well as the refined skills of organization. In her spare time, Stacey enjoys art, reading, crafts, baking, watching sports, playing with her children, and spending time with family and friends. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Missouri -- Columbia.

Cynthia Chasteen, Spanish Specialist
Cynthia Chasteen has been teaching at Rohan Woods School since 2007. Her classroom style is lively and involved and helps children to fully immerse themselves in not only the Spanish language, but also the Spanish culture. In her spare time, Cynthia enjoys staying active through various fitness pursuits including lifting weights, boxing, running, and cycling. When she's not in the gym, she loves to read. Cynthia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Auburn University and is very close to to earning her Masters in Education and a commendation in Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from University of Missouri - St. Louis.

Paul Deming, Music Specialist
Paul Deming has been making music at Rohan Woods since 2001. With more than 20 years in music education, Paul brings music performance, theory, Orff instruments, recorder, African drums, guitar, and singing to each classroom at Rohan Woods School. In addition, Paul produces and directs Rohan Woods' musical performances including the Winter and Spring Programs and the music for Grandparents' Day. In his spare time, Paul teaches guitar lessons as well as karate and also plays lead guitar for the Ralph Butler Band. Paul holds a degree in Music Education and is Orff Certified (Level 1).

Jennifer Farless, Art Specialist
Jennifer Farless has been teaching Art at Rohan Woods since 2004. She brings more than 17 years of art education with her and uses it with every lesson to help students discover and capture the dynamic and emerging artist inside. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her three amazing daughters, trying out a new recipe and taking long walks in the park. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Art Education degree and a minor in Studio Art from Webster University.

Patti Francis, Associate Teacher
Patti Francis is a Rohan Woods icon. As an associate teacher at Rohan Woods for nearly 30 years, Miss Patti, as she is affectionately known by everyone at school, is truly all things to all teachers. Assisting in Pre-K through Second Grade, Miss Patti does it all, from aiding with class room lessons, to the enjoyment and anticipation of recess, to hugs and bandages to aid a scuffed knee. In her spare time, Miss Patti enjoys weaving, gardening and reading. She holds a Bachelors degree in Art Education K-12.

Laura Jacobsmeyer, First Grade Teacher
Laura Jacobsmeyer has been teaching at Rohan Woods School since 1998, first in Second Grade, then in Fifth Grade, and now in First Grade. With more than 18 years of early childhood education, Laura takes great pleasure and delight in guiding her First Grade students as they become confident beginner readers. In her spare time, Laura enjoys reading mysteries. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education.

Beth Kennedy has been teaching Second Grade at Rohan Woods School since 2006. With more than 10 years of elementary education, Beth does a wonderful job differentiating lessons and activities to meet all of her students needs and makes learning fun by incorporating music and movement to develop various skills! In her spare time, Beth enjoys scrapbooking, playing the piano and flute and spending time with her family. Alison Lohmann began her career at Rohan Woods School as a substitute teacher in 2002. She was brought on as a full-time PE Instructor in 2006. With more than 15 years of physical education experience, Alison instills the power and positive spirit of teamwork and always working toward your personal best with each student at Rohan Woods. In her spare time, Alison enjoys gardening, sports and reading. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from Penn State University.

Kristen Masiel, Junior Kindergarten Teacher
Kristen Masiel has been teaching Junior Kindergarten at Rohan Woods School since 2005. She brings more than eight years of early elementary education experience with her. Kristen excels at helping her students explore the world around them in creative and memorable ways, all the while instilling the values of manners and kindness with her students. In her spare time, Kristen enjoys attending theatrical performances at both the Fox Theatre and also the Muny Opera, where she has been attending Thursday performances each summer since she was a young child. Kristen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and Child Development as well as a Masters degree in Early Childhood Special Education and Applied Behavior Analysis from Vanderbilt University.

Becky Rehder began her career at Rohan Woods School in 1999. With over 25 years of teaching experience, Becky helps even the youngest scientist discover the simple wonders of the world around us. Through hands-on activities, students develop a greater sense and appreciation for the multi-faceted world of life and change through the eyes of a scientist. In her spare time, Becky loves to explore the outdoors, including hiking and canoeing; as well as read, garden, swim, attend art exhibits, and travel to exotic places whenever she can! Becky holds a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with life certification from the University of Missouri as well as a Masters in Teaching Science from Webster University.

Liza Sullivan, Early Childhood Teacher
Liza joins the Rohan Woods team this year for the launch of our Early Childhood Program! With more than four years of teaching experience, Liza is an engaged teacher who loves to see her students learn something new or be able to do something for themselves for the very first time. She especially loves the youngest students because through them, she knows she is helping them build on their knowledge base, which will help them for years to come. In her spare time, Liza enjoys reading, cooking and playing with her three-year-old daughter. Liza holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Curry College and is currently working on her certification birth-grade three and her masters in special education birth-grade 3 at Lindenwood University.
